The latest statistics show continuing positive developments on the UK labour market. In the last three months to December 2012, the number of people in employment increased and the number of unemployed people decreased. The rise in the number of people in work was 154,000, with 29.73 million people employed, of which 73% were working full-time and 27% were working part-time.
According to the current Labour Market Outlook report by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and SuccessFactors, employment will continue to grow in the first quarter of 2013. Employers in the private sector remain optimistic.
