Companies Hiring in February

The job market is tough right now. Just yesterday, it was reported that the UK economy is at the bottom of a seventeen year slump, with women bearing the brunt of it. It’s easy to look at the negatives. But we have chosen to focus on the areas of growth. We know that certain sectors are growing – IT and hospitality. Below are nine companies that are hiring right now.

Google: A multinational internet and software corporation specialisation in internet search, cloud computing and advertising technologies. They currently have 254 jobs all over Europe.                                                                                                                                                 

Caffè Nero: Caffè Nero has over 400 stores, nearly 3,000 employees, and has become one of the best recognised and most admired food and beverage brands in all of Britain. The company is currently opening new stores every year, providing career opportunities for new and existing team members.
Available positions: Caffè Nero currently has openings in various UK locations, mostly for Managers in Training and Assistant Managers.

Barchester: Barchester Healthcare is one of the largest providers of high quality nursing and residential services in the country, offering many different types of care and support to people of all ages. The company employs almost 15,000 people to care for 10,000 residents at more than 200 locations in the UK.
Available positions: Barchester is hiring Registered Nurses, General Managers, Care Managers and Care Assistants for their care homes at different locations throughout the UK.

UPS: UPS, or United Parcel Service Inc., is the largest express carrier and package delivery company in the world. Every day UPS manages the flow of goods, funds and information in more than 200 countries and territories worldwide.
Available positions: UPS is hiring Multi Drop Drivers and in addition has openings Marketing, HR and Sales.

Co-operative Banking Group: The Co-operative Banking Group is the name for the group of businesses that includes The Co-operative Insurance, The Co-operative Investments, The Co-operative Bank including smile and Britannia. They offer a range of financial products, with The Co-operative Bank providing high street and Internet banking, current accounts, mortgages, credit cards and loans while The Co-operative Insurance provides pensions, unit trusts and insurance as well as financial advice.
Available positions: The Co-operative Banking Group employs staff both at their Head Office in Manchester, and throughout the UK.

Hertz: Hertz is the world’s largest vehicle renting organisation and operates from approximately 8100 locations in 147 countries worldwide. Today, Hertz’s Worldwide Reservations Centers handle approximately 40 million phone calls and deliver approximately 30 million reservations annually.
Available positions: Hertz offers exciting career opportunities for starters, but also for experienced managers. Hertz is recruiting Customer Service Representatives all throughout Europe.

Oracle: Oracle provides business software and hardware systems to more than 370,000 customers — including 100 of the Fortune 100 — in more than 145 countries around the globe. Oracle’s 110,000 global employees – including 30,000 developers working full-time on Oracle products – are critical to that success.
Available positions: Oracle recruiters are always searching for brilliant employees with an entrepreneurial spirit as well as top university graduates, bringing ideas and motivation to the business.

Betfair: The Betfair group of companies (‘Betfair’) offers a global portfolio of gambling products and services. This includes the world’s leading betting exchange (a concept pioneered by Betfair), which is provided in the UK.
Available positions: Betfair is hiring in the areas corporate, marketing, products and services, technology and they seek talented graduates for their graduate programme.

    No creative jobs then? We need more companies developing positions in the creative sector, in IT, new media, agencies and in-house.
